Horror Prelim Planning

Before shooting as a group we had to plan the clip we were going to shoot. Therefore for effective planning we decided to use a storyboard and a shooting schedule as well as using the original clip to keep referring back to whilst shooting.

This prelim task was completed as group. We therefore decided to imitate the clip exactly and to keep track of what we were filming we used a Storyboard, which broke down the scene and therefore made it easier for everyone to know what they were doing.

Storyboard
1. Opening of the clip: Character walks into the room during this the music from the original Annabelle scene will be playing. The camera shot used will be a long/wide/establishing shot to capture every detail of the room
2. Close up of actor: Her facial expressions looking relaxed yet concerned. No dialogue complete silence.
3.Pan to the left/tracking shot. camera shot shows half of the actors face looking sidewards. More silence
4.Shakey camera work. Actor reaches for the curtain. Camera is filming at the side of the actor.
5.Shakey Camera work. Curtain aggressively hits the actor . mid close up showing the actors hand touching the curtain and then the curtain moving
6.Tilt down. Actor falling and on the floor
7.Long shot. Actor sits up slowly and sees a figure run past
8.Whip Pan from victim to the figure running out and just about catching her running
9.Whip pan back to the victim getting up. silence
10. the actor. Actor gets up then runs round the corner after the figure
11. wide shot eye level . back of actors head and then
12.Mid shot walking towards camera
13.POV shot of actor scanning the room
14.Pan left to right of the room baring in mind the sewing machine is on by itself
15.Mid shot walking into room, camera low angle
16.Longshot walks into room turns of sewing machine, demon is behind her
17.Longshot, Actors back is facing the camera , door moves demon standing
18.Close up of actor backing up against the wall and screaming
19.whip pan to demon still attacking her , then back to close up

We also came up with a shooting schedule that underlined the time frame we had to shoot in as we knew that we had a total of three hours to edit as a group rather than taking turns. We planned the camera angles, shots and costume as well as location in a table format to make it more referable when shooting in such a short amount of time.
