Premiere video and Audience feedback
Here is a video that we created it involves our premiere which involved our target audience and then we asked them for verbal feedback after our trailer as to what they felt went well and what they would improve.
Tickets for premiere
For my groups premiere, we created tickets to give out to our target audience to get feedback from them. As this was our premiere we designed tickets as this is a professional film event.

To advertise our premiere , we wrote on our sixth form board and
stuck our tickets to the board for our peers to take.

Poster linked to research
I related my final poster to existing posters to see how they link as Horror posters have specific conventions. My groups poster upheld some of the conventions found with the poster.

Analysing sound effects
We used a range of sound effect throughout our trailer . Sound effects are the most important aspect within a trailer as it causes the audience to feel something and also makes the trailer come across a lot more scary.
Throughout our trailer we used a variety of screams
1. The scream at the start of the trailer is a long drawn out scream which symbolises an attack thats happening to the mum and also reveals her distress
2.the abrupt scream when Sydney is listening to her music and gets grabbed from behind. This portrays that is was sudden
3.There is use of distant screams when Miss chapel and Miss willow are in the woods this represents their victims
4. The jumps care at the end uses a high pitched scream we felt that this would be more effective to scare the audience as the music dies down and the jump scare takes place.
DOOM & PHONE
The tragic doom sound portrays that all is yet to be revealed as after the attack
BIRDS CHIRPING
was used to show the normality against the scenery this gives the false perception that everything will be fine.
DOOR HANDLE
The door opening makes the audience attentive to find out what's going to happen behind the doors.
TRAGIC ABRUPT SOUND
1.This warns the audience that things are about to change shows the equilibrium has been disrupted.
2.When Sydney jumps is shows her dramatic escape but also connotes possibly the equilibrium has been restored.
HEELS AND HAND SMACKING
portrays Miss Chapel's sophistication against her harshness which makes the audience feel a bit tense about the character.
CHILDREN WHISPERING
These voices are speaking inside of Sydney's head is shows her mental state to the audience and makes them feel weary of her actions
SLIGHT RINGING NOISE
the slight ringing noise makes the audience aware that there may be something in the room with her as their is no silence it helps to build up tension
CANON
the similar sound to a canon is used when there is a demonised character standing behind Sydney this contrasts with how unaware she is that there is a being behind her.
NECK CRACKING
connotes Miss chapel's age and how she comes across as not human due to the cracking noises which can connate maybe she's not the age we think she is.

Trailer links to Storyboard and theories
Shot Transitions
Shot transitions are very important when creating a horror trailer, transitions help to continue scene or move from one scene to the next. Within my construction we used 4 main types of transitions.
These were as follows:
1.Dip to black
2.Pull focus
3.Flickering
4.Cross dissolve
These all had a specific effect within our trailer.
Research into and use of music
My group and I researched into different sounds from existing trailers to see what types of sounds were used where . For example sounds where they're was use of building up tension and sounds used to compliment jump scares . Here is the list of all the sounds we found within the trailer we had watched. We also played the sounds we had found to see how if it would work alongside our trailer. This task meant a lot of trial and error.
The sounds found here portray todorov equilibrium theory. Within horror trailers there is a calm eery soundtrack but as tension builds and events start to happen the sounds changed. This relates to equilibrium as the calm soundtrack is portrayed during the calm like state of equilibrium when everything is normal. The diverse use of compelling sounds and tragic sounds comes to play when their is a disruption of equilibrium and however the fight to restore the equilibrium is shown as their is more abrupt and striking noises such as screaming before the reinstatement of the calm resolved state.
Below I have added the soundtrack used with our trailer and how the equilibrium differs throughout.

Poster feedback
After my groups premiere My group and I asked our target audience what they thought of our poster.
Here are the responses
Links between magazine,poster and trailer
Here I have included example of how all three products link into each other
Reaction video of our premiere
During my groups premiere I filmed my audience's reaction to the trailer using an iPhone 6s 4K camera.
Magazine front cover feedback
Below I have placed the feedback gathered
Front cover features
Here I have analysed the front cover features and the reasons why my group and I decided to choose these particular features.
Aim:
The magazine front cover aim was to make it almost have an illusion as we wanted our audience to not get what everything was straight away but with concentration realise the features for example the eye and the forest. We used the idea of hidden messages with the forest at the top of the cover and also the eye. This allows our audiences perceptions to shine through as some may realise and others may notMagazine Cover layout/Photoshop
For my groups magazine, we decided to use 'Empire' and the suicide squad issue. Even though I took the lead in the task , i made sure that i consulted with my group member to get there ideas. We decided to use the suicide squad issue as it is the most current film magazine that appeals to our target audience. I tried various styles for my magazine as i wanted to ensure I tried different ideas and could choose with my group which one i could go on to develop and which one portrays our trailer the best as we wanted it to link with the poster and trailer.
We decided to develop the idea of the enlarged eye as the definition of perception ''is the way in which something is regarded, understood, or interpreted.'' The use of the eye represents the trailer
Here are the similarities between the existing issue and my groups magazine.

Photo manipulation
To ensure I got the magazine front cover I have imaged I manipulated the image to convert my groups ideas. The use of the eye meant that I had to manipulate the images to ensure that they worked together. Here I have uploaded my photo manipulation process and the ideas.

Film/Empire House styles
Here I researched into Film Magazine and Empire. I found both magazine very eye catching however I decided that Empire would be a better fit for my magazine. I plan to use the suicide squad issues as inspiration due to the overall layout.
Test shots for Magazine and Poster
As a group we decided to take shots for our magazine front cover and our poster to ensure that they are both relatable. I was the photographer for the shots so I tried different angles such as high angle by standing on chair and eye level. Sabrina and Atimango held some filters over the lighting to see if it would create and eerie effect. As a group we deliberated after every image as to what to do next and what types of shots we could take next that would convey our storyline.
For our shots we decided to have Miss Chapel's face with half latex and half normal this is to portray our storyline as our trailer is called ' PERCEPTION' having Miss Chapel's face with half latex of make-up questions what side is real and what side is fake which is the whole point of our trailer. We also decided to have Miss chapel in the white shirt with purple deep red lines and a black skirt as this connotes innocence but the lines on the shirt connotes danger or dried blood.
When looking into current posters and magazines most commonly there is use of a close up/mid shot this was something that I kept in mind when taking these images of Miss Chapel. As I was taking images my group and I were discussing how we would manipulate this images and test out our ideas. For example we had the idea to split Miss Chapel's body in half and have a gooey substance in the middle, or have Sydney in the middle of Miss Chapels split halves. This was an active way of discussing ideas as we then took shots according to those ideas we had generated between us.

Shot types and sizes
Before starting to film my groups trailer,I looked at other trailer to see what shot types they used in terms of angles and movements. I noticed that they use a variety of shots which portrays what they want they're audience to feel at a present moment within the trailer, this is all done o the shot types used. Close-ups and establishing shots are the most common amongst horror trailers . Within this short clip, I have included some shot types that I found interesting and could potentially use as influence for my horror trailer.

Mis en Scene
For the three main Characters as a collective group we decided what costume we wanted the character to wear and what it would symbolise. the three main characters being Miss chapel , Miss Willow and Sydney are the ones we focused on in terms of how they were portrayed due to the essence of the trailer in terms of deciphering what is real and what is apart of Sydney's imagination .
Below is a video on the characters' mise en scene and why ?

Titles for trailer
Instead of using pre-made title sequences. My group and i decided to try and get a smokey effect with the text. However I found that the ink droplet appeared better in terms of the tempo and also how I could alter it to make it look darker etc.
Here is a short clip outlines how I changed the original royalty free video into a text sequence
