Individual contribution

When doing the construction for the trailer I was apart of the production as an actress which therefore meant that I had to influence decisions in terms of shot types and camera angles when not being behind the camera. I also raised various ideas in terms of different angles and locations we could use as well as mis en scene.

Miss Willow grey shirt worn throughout the filming is meant to portray her professionalism but the strips on the shirt are meant to portray the dark elements and also contrast with the fact that nothing is as straight forward as it seems also the grey shirt is somewhat close to white and black which portrays she's in the middle ground and also isn't as  innocent as it seems.

In terms of mis en scene for Sydney, as a collective we suggested she had a white shirt that connotes innocence also the black ripped jeans bottom half makes her seem relatable to our target audience as well as shows her struggle throughout the trailer.

Due to the fact that I was in front of the camera , I decided to take more of an active role in terms of decision making and doing the magazine front cover. Also when editing I gave ideas as to the placements of certain clips as well designing the title sequence using royalty free sources. Being a part of my groups trailer , I have to find a happy medium to ensure that I help capture shots, decisions as well as costume ideas and where everything is set out.

Deciding where to shoot with Sabrina during the classroom scene.  We had to check whether we would see parts of the room that we didn't necessarily need. Also we were discussing what shots would work best considering the space.

This is an image of the room we used for the class room scene. This is the scene where  Sydney meets all the other asylum teens and starts to see miss chapel for who she is.
